The CEO Has The Floor

Looking back on BuddyPro’s journey, I feel immense pride in how much we have accomplished in such a short time. BuddyPro was never just an idea–it was born out of a need to address a system that wasn’t working. When we began in 2017, I brought over ten years of experience in international retail, having worked closely with the founders behind Media Markt, a company operating across more than 17 markets.

Early on, I recognized that future transactions would increasingly take place in customers’ homes. We are currently in this midst of a historic transformation. The market is evolving rapidly, and we have identified 34 major trends shaping the future service economy. Among these, four key trends are driving demand for our platform:

The Aging Population

The proportion of elderly is rising sharply, increasing the need for everyday assistance. In sweden, the population aged over 75 is projected to grow by 28% by 2040. Today, more than 344,000 people of 65 receive ongoing social services, and this number is expected to continue growing.

Increasing Complexity of Products and Services

Technological advancements are accelerating. From Sonos systems and smart washing machines to connected home appliances, consumers simply do not have the time or expertise to manage these devices. There is a growing demand for knowledgeable professionals to install, maintain, and troubleshoot these advanced solutions.

Changing Habits of Younger Generations

Generation Z and Millennials often lack both the interest and skills needed for practical household tasks. Studies show that 21% of Generation Z cannot identify a wrench, and nearly a quarter of young adults in the UK do not know how to change a ceiling light. This creates a rising demand for expertise assistance with even basic home chores.

The Rise of the Gig Economy

The nature of work is shifting. Increasingly, people are choosing to work independently or juggle multiple assignments rather than pursue traditional employment. The gig economy is expanding rapidly, enabling more professionals to offer flexible services. However, many still lack the right tools and platforms to efficiently manage assignments, scheduling, payments, and customer relationships.

"BuddyPro is more than just a platform - it is a mission-driven initiative. Inspired by witnessing my parents’ struggles despite their talents, we are building BuddyPro to empower local entrepreneurs, generate employment opportunities, and enable more individuals to take control of their own futures."

Tahero Nori
CEO BuddyPro

Having built and run service companies like TechBuddy, TaskRunner, and BuddyCompany ourselves, we know the industry from the inside out. We have experienced exactly what it takes to scale, what slows down growth, and what is missing in today's market. We saw skilled professionals - technicians, service providers, and craftsmen - spending more time on administration than on what they were actually best at. The problem was never a lack of skill or demand; it was inefficient systems and outdated processes holding them back.

But BuddyPro is about something bigger. For me, this is more than just technology - it is a mission. Everything we build is designed to strengthen local entrepreneurship, because we know that it builds vibrant communities, creates jobs, and leads to happier customers.

This is something very close to my heart. I grew up watching my parents - who arrived here with great skills and a strong work ethic - struggle to find their place in society. Despite their drive, they lacked the right opportunities to turn their knowledge into a business of their own. That is exactly what we want to change. We are building a platform that doesn't just simplify work, but enables more people to create their own future.

We see enormous potential in continuing to develop BuddyPro to meet the evolving needs of the market. Through innovation and collaboration, we are determined to lead this change - and we are just at the beginning of the journey.
