Version 1.1 · Effective from May 28, 2026
Terms of Service
1. Who you contract with
BuddyPro AB Org. number: 559516-1844 Karlavägen 41, 114 31 Stockholm, Sweden [email protected]
2. Which services these terms apply to
- buddypro.io — marketing site
- BuddyPro Admin (admin.buddypro.io) — administration tool for company customers
- BuddyPro Workforce — field app for employees at our company customers (iOS, Android, web)
- BuddyPro Customer Portal (connect.buddypro.io) — customer portal where end customers can see their booked jobs
- Fixat — marketplace with a separate database and authentication. Its own terms live at /product/fixat/terms-of-service.
3. Acceptance
By creating an account or using any of our services, you accept these terms. Don't use the service if you don't accept the terms.
4. Account and responsibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Workforce and Customer Portal, and at least 18 to take out a subscription in Admin.
You are responsible for:
- the information you provide
- activity on your account
- keeping your login details secret
- notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
If you represent a company, you confirm you have authority to bind the company to these terms.
5. Permitted use
You may not:
- break the law or the rights of others
- attempt to bypass security features
- load the service beyond normal use, e.g. via automated scraping or bulk API abuse
- reverse-engineer or decompile the service
- use the service to send spam or malicious code
- impersonate someone else
- post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- harass, abuse, or harm other users
6. Service-specific terms
Admin
- Company customer. Agreements are entered between BuddyPro and the company that takes out the subscription.
- Subscription model. Pricing per the plan you choose, see /pricing.
- RUT/ROT filings. We generate the XML files for the company. The company is responsible for uploading the file to Skatteverket and for the accuracy of the claim.
- Bookkeeping as a service (Premium+ and Enterprise). We automate invoicing, payroll, and syncing to Fortnox or Bokio. The company remains responsible for the correctness of its bookkeeping.
- Not an authorized accounting firm. BuddyPro is not an authorized accounting firm (redovisningskonsult). We provide the tooling and processes, but don't replace your auditor or legal counsel.
Customer Portal
- End users. The service is offered to end customers of our company customers so they can see their booked jobs.
- Three-party relationship. The contract for the job is between the end customer and the company — not with BuddyPro. BuddyPro provides the portal.
buddypro.io
- No account is required to visit the site.
- Content is for informational purposes. We don't guarantee against typos or errors.
Fixat
- Fixat is a separate marketplace with its own account, database, and terms.
- Having an Admin, Workforce, or Customer Portal account does not automatically give you a Fixat account, and vice versa.
- Full terms: /product/fixat/terms-of-service.
7. Workforce-specific terms
This section supplements the terms above when you use the Workforce app as an employee of one of our company customers.
7.1 Three parties, two roles
Workforce is a tool your employer has purchased from BuddyPro. Three parties are involved:
- You as an employed Buddy
- Your employer as our company customer
- BuddyPro AB as the platform provider
Employment terms, pay, and job assignments are governed by your employer. BuddyPro only provides the tool.
7.2 Account
Your Buddy account is usually created by your employer. You may need to complete it with:
- valid email and phone
- profile details
- emergency contact
- bank details for payroll (if enabled)
- other information required for employment or tax reporting
You must be at least 16 to use the app.
7.3 Your obligations as an employee
When using Workforce you commit to:
- record working time accurately — clock in when you start and out when you finish
- report time-clock errors immediately
- follow your employer's policy on attendance and punctuality
- not cheat on time reporting
- complete assigned jobs according to instructions and within the set time
- give truthful updates on job status
- keep a professional tone in chat and communication
- not share your account or credentials
7.4 GPS, location, and field work
For jobs that require it:
- The app can record GPS position at the start and end of a job
- Geofencing can be used to confirm you are at the correct workplace
- Travel time between jobs can be logged
- The extent to which this happens is set by your employer and described in the Privacy Policy
GPS is only active during working hours and only for job-related purposes.
7.5 Jobs, job pool, and performance
- Jobs are assigned by the employer, either directly or via a job pool where you can pick up jobs yourself
- Accepting a job is a binding work assignment
- The employer can restrict or close access to the job pool
- The app measures execution time, completion rate, and similar metrics. The employer uses these for planning and follow-up. You have the right to see your own performance data.
7.6 Pay and compensation
- The app calculates pay based on registered time and completed jobs
- Final pay is determined by your employer
- You are responsible for flagging any errors in your pay
- Bank details are handled according to applicable rules
BuddyPro makes no warranties that payroll calculations in the app are tax-compliant. The employer is responsible for reporting wages, taxes, and contributions correctly to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).
7.7 Termination of Workforce access
Your access to Workforce can end when:
- your employment with the company ends
- your employer terminates its agreement with BuddyPro
- you breach these terms or your employer's policy
- you cheat on time reporting or other data
- the law or a public authority requires it
Employment-related data may be retained for a period after termination to meet legal requirements (tax, accounting, employment law).
8. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown at /pricing. Invoices are issued monthly or as agreed. Add-ons (SMS, extra capacity, analytics) are charged per the price list.
Payment is by invoice with 30-day terms unless otherwise agreed. Late payment can result in service restrictions or termination.
Consumer prices shown in the service include VAT per EU rules.
9. Intellectual property
BuddyPro owns the service, source code, trademarks, and all content we provide. You own your own data. You grant BuddyPro a limited right to process your data to deliver the service — nothing more.
We may use, display, and process content you upload to the extent required for the service to function.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided "as is". We make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted or error-free access.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BuddyPro's total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to these terms or your use of the Services is limited to the fees you have paid to BuddyPro in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damages (lost profit, data loss, reputational harm) to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Swedish or EU law.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights under Swedish consumer law (konsumentköplagen, konsumenttjänstlagen) or applicable EU consumer protection legislation.
11. Security and confidentiality
We process your data according to our Privacy Policy.
Where BuddyPro processes personal data on behalf of a company customer, the parties are bound by the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available at buddypro.io/legal/dpa, which forms part of this agreement. By accepting these terms, the company customer also accepts the DPA.
We follow Article 32 GDPR and apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data. These include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, separate schema per company customer (tenant isolation), regular security testing, backups, and training for staff who handle personal data.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and reporting suspicious activity immediately.
12. Suspension and termination
- You can terminate your account at any time. Termination takes effect from the next billing period.
- We can suspend or end your account in case of material breach, abuse, or non-payment. We notify you when possible.
Data export after termination
You can request a data export of the company's data within 30 days of termination. After 30 days, the data is permanently deleted.
Deletion and retention
Data handling upon termination is governed by the Data Processing Agreement.
13. Force majeure
We are not liable for failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, government decisions, pandemic, or third-party service failures.
14. Governing law and disputes
The agreement is governed by Swedish law and applicable EU law. Disputes are resolved by Swedish general courts with Stockholm District Court as the first instance.
For consumers, mandatory consumer protection law applies, and you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or the EU's online dispute resolution platform.
15. Changes
We can amend the terms. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance by email or in the service. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept it.
